Getting started
How does the free trial lesson work?
Send the short form. We contact you by email or WhatsApp to choose a time. Your child meets a teacher in a live lesson, and the teacher checks their level and recommends a course.
What age can my child start?
Every course accepts children from age 3. The teacher adapts the lesson to your child's age and attention span.
Do I need to speak Arabic to help my child?
No. Many parents do not speak Arabic. The teacher guides your child through each lesson and sends you a summary afterwards.
Which course should my child start with?
Start with the free trial lesson. The teacher checks your child's level and recommends the right course.
What does my child need for the lessons?
A computer or tablet with a camera and microphone and a stable internet connection. For young children, an adult should be nearby.
Lessons and teachers
Who are the teachers?
Our teachers are native Arabic speakers with degrees from Cairo University, Al-Azhar University, the Faculty of Al-Alsun and a College of Arabic Language, with 6 to 12 years of experience teaching Arabic.
Are lessons one-to-one?
Yes. Each lesson is live and personal, so the teacher can set the pace to your child.
Can I choose a female teacher?
Yes. Tell us when you book and we will match you with a female teacher, subject to availability.
Do you teach in my time zone?
We teach students in more than 50 countries. Tell us your time zone and your best days and times on the trial form, and we will suggest lesson slots.
Can my child take more than one course?
Yes. For example, many students combine Fusha for reading with Egyptian Arabic for conversation, or Arabic with Tajweed.
Do you prepare students for GCSE and IGCSE Arabic?
Yes. Tell us the exam board and we will confirm that a teacher is available for your syllabus before you book.
Pricing and payment
How much do lessons cost?
Plans start from $30 per month. The price depends on lesson length (30, 45 or 60 minutes) and lessons per week. See the pricing page for every plan.
Is there a discount for paying for several months?
Yes. Pay for 3 months and save 10%, or pay for 6 months and save 20%.
How do I pay?
You pay securely online with PayPal or a credit or debit card. We do not store card details on our servers.
What is your refund policy?
You can get a full refund within 3 calendar days of registration, before the first lesson. After the first lesson you can receive 50% of the value of the remaining unused lessons. Read the full refund policy for details.
What happens if we need to reschedule?
Tell us at least 24 hours before the lesson and we will reschedule it at no charge, subject to teacher availability.
What if the teacher cancels?
You get a make-up lesson at a time that suits you, or a credit of the same value. Teacher cancellations are never taken from your balance.
Safety and privacy
How do you keep my child safe?
Teachers are vetted and trained in child safeguarding. Lessons are on video on our platform, teachers may not contact children outside it, and parents may join any lesson. Read our child safety policy for the full list.
Are lessons recorded?
Lessons with children are recorded and kept for 30 days. Parents can request a recording in writing.
Can I watch my child's lessons?
